Vinn ie
Ferrone - BIO
Born and raised in
Newark, N. J., Vinnie Ferrone is a singer-songwriter who developed a love
for melody and harmony as part of a Sunday choir. Over the years, he has
compiled a repertoire in excess of 1200 songs, 200 of which are original
compositions. (see
Set List
page) Vinnie is a multi-instrumentalist
(guitar-piano-bass-mandolin-harmonica-tenor & alto saxophone) who has logged many hours
as a studio and stage musician for
other performers. With an uncanny vocal ability to conjure up the
spirit and sound of the singers whose songs he discriminatingly chooses to
cover, his passionate and honest performances have garnered him the
reputation of a 'one man band.' (see
Schedule
page) From May until November, 2004, Vinnie worked in Bermuda, performing 6 nights a weeks for tourists and
locals alike. In March 2005, he was hired by ESPN/WPLJ/WABC/Disney
radio to perform at the company St. Patrick's Day party, in mid-town
Manhattan. Although he's been inspired by many musical influences,
his original compositions sound like no one but Vinnie Ferrone. His music
is a blend of every sound he's ever heard. It incorporates everything from
the scream of a Newark, NJ siren to the sound of a tree frog in Bermuda. (see
